Laundry has a prominent place in anime, I'm not sure why. Anime characters of all species from all types of shows are constantly washing clothes and hanging them out to dry. If you watch an American or European TV series or movie, you rarely see anyone doing the wash, though of course people must.
In Rurouni Kenshin laundry duty usually falls to Ken and Yahiko, but that doesn't mean Yahiko has to enjoy it. Oddly, Ken seems to find a kind of zen peace in laundry... |
